Hair Jewelry Crafts for the Holiday Season

Christmas and other holiday-related hair jewelry crafts are a great activity to do with kids while they're on winter vacation. The following steps will teach you how to make a homemade Christmas hair clip.

To get started, you'll need old hair clips, bright or glitter nail polish, glitter, fishing line, small decorative light bulbs with holes in ends, scissors, and super glue. First take the old hair clips and paint them with sparkly nail polish.

If you decide to put glitter on top of the polish, top the glitter with a clear coat of polish to help it stay. With your piece of fishing line, string some decorative bulbs onto the hair clip. Tie the end of the line securely.

Once the light bulbs are on, the other end of the fishing line should attach to the hair clip tightly. If the bulbs fall loose, try super gluing them on instead.
