Arrowhead Necklaces Are Easy Native American Jewelry Crafts for Children

easy native american jewelry crafts for children

Arrowhead necklaces are the perfect easy Native American jewelry crafts for children of all ages. Best of all, these beautiful necklaces require very few supplies and are inexpensive to make.

To begin, you will need a thirty-inch suede cord, a stone arrowhead, and pony beads for each child. You might want to choose beads and cord that will match the colors of the arrowheads you purchase.

To make the necklace, wrap the suede cord around the arrowhead, criss-crossing the ends as displayed in the photo. Now push both ends through a pony bead. You may have to cut the ends to an angle to make them fit.

Push the pony beads down by the arrowhead and add three more on either side of the cord. Tie the ends of the necklace together and trim away the excess.

Business Grants to Artists Crafts Jewelry

grants to artists crafts jewelry

Grants to artists crafts jewelry are more abundant than you might think. Artists can access government grants to support their work if they pursue the money through the right channels.

Your strongest chance of receiving a government grant to fund your art is if you begin your own small business. The government has large amounts of funds set aside to help first-time business owners get their enterprises up and running.

If you are interested in selling your crafts jewelry, opening a store, or starting a website, you might apply for a grant through the Small Business Administration (SBA). The National Endowment for the Arts is another possibility.

The National Endowment for the Arts is an organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts. Specifically, the Endowment focuses on making art accessible to all Americans and providing art education. The Endowment also regularly gives grants.

Valentine's Holiday Jewelry Crafts for Children

holiday jewelry crafts for children

Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching, and a fun way to celebrate is with holiday jewelry crafts for children. You can do these crafts with your own kids or as part of a group activity at school or in church.

The simplest Valentine's Day crafts involve beads and basic jewelry strands or strings. Make sure if you choose to work with beads that the children are old enough, as they can be a choking hazard to younger children.

At a crafts store, pick up some red, white, and pink beads to string on necklace and bracelet threads. You may also want to pick up letter beads to write "I Love You" messages on the jewelry.

Set up the beads in containers and give each child the appropriate length thread for a necklace or a bracelet. Let them place the beads in the arrangements they wish or write their messages of love for their recipients.

Make Arts and Crafts Jewelry Flowers from Clay

You don't necessarily need metal or any fancy tools to make beautiful arts and crafts jewelry items. For example, all you need to make a jewelry flower is a bit of clay.

As you'll see in the video, making the flower is quite simple. You just take a bit of clay and roll it in between your fingers to make the center of the flower.

You make the petals in much the same way and then join them with the center. Make sure all of your petals overlap with each other to make your flower more realistic.

Once you have all the pieces together, you can begin shaping the petals. Give them shape by curling them down from the edges, and you'll have a complete jewelry flower.
